Alison Stephens RIP 10/10/10

Alison Stephens, the brilliant British mandolinist passed away today after a long fierce fight with cancer. I was proud to call her a friend, as well as a colleague, and will always cherish memories of happy hours spent playing music, talking, laughing. She leaves behind a host of impeccable CDs, a series of mandolin editions edited for Astute Music, and the many students she taught at Trinity College of Music. SummerKeys will present a concert of music for mandolin & guitar, for the first time ever in its long history. The performance will be held at 7:30 PM at the Congregational Church, in the center of Lubec, Maine. Marilynn will perform with guitarist, Robert N.
